Job description:

AllumiaX is hiring for the post of Power Systems Engineer. Graduates from reputed engineering institutes/universities, who are passionate to grow and improve their skills in a diversified environment are encouraged to apply.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Engineering team in Seattle and on projects in the Pacific Northwest USA (Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Idaho, Texas, and Hawaii) and the East Coast. You will have an opportunity to acquire a unique skill set abroad and a variety of power systems engineering skills in this role.

Ideal candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent Academic background with an ambition to excel in their profession. They must be passionate about learning engineering tools and software and effectively apply the engineering concepts learned throughout their earlier course of study, supporting the Engineering Teams in the USA and Karachi. If a position is secured, there will be a 12 - month training or shorter, where the candidates will be trained on various live and training projects skills. This trainee period will be fully paid. Given the skills, performance, aptitude, and potential that matches business needs and expectations, permanent role will be offered.

Scope of work:

  • Perform and prepare Arc Flash, Protective Device Coordination, Short Circuit studies for various small and large projects, and equipment evaluation for industrial and commercial facilities
  • Perform special power system studies such as Transient, Harmonic, and Power Quality Analysis, Load Flow Studies and recommend essential engineering methods and solutions for industrial and commercial facilities
  • Model low and medium-voltage electrical distribution facilities in ETAP Electrical software as well as SKM and others
  • Support GeneralPAC engineering training video development and processing
  • Be a contributing member of a team for some projects while being the team lead for other projects
  • Conduct R&D work by writing and publishing technical papers, blogs, and whitepapers
  • Prepare quotes, scope-of-work, and proposals for small and large projects
  • Support business development and execute AllumiaX strategies

Skills required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or with 0-1 year of relevant experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills using internet
  • Computer literate and able to write technical reports using Office tools
  • Self-motivated individual with highly developed organizational skills
  • Must be able to effectively communicate plans, thoughts, and rationale toward the job
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
  • Good judgment and highly dependable
  • Out of the box, critical thinking is encouraged
