AllumiaX is looking for a full-time “Assistant Manager (Engineering & Operations)”. Engineering Management & Operations Scope of Work:

  • Assist project manager and project engineers in developing and document project plans, technical feasibility, ensuring resource availability and allocation so that projects can be deliver on time, within budget and scope
  • Help project manager develop and update project documents to ensure that requirements of all internal and external customers are met
  • Assist project manager in performing risk management to minimize project risks
  • Assist the leadership team in measuring the project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
  • Assist management in performing routine office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail, etc
  • Assist the leadership team to plan, execute, document, and improve upon the existing processes and policies to create an environment based on Lean Principles of “Respect for People” and “Continuous Improvement”
  • Support HR and management team in enrolling new employees by issuing forms and applications, verifying completion, check-ins/checkouts, and entry/exit formalities
  • Expanding AllumiaX Engineering offerings and capabilities through documentation, development, experimentation, and collaboration with others
  • Help develop, enhance, and execute AllumiaX & GeneralPAC work management and internal strategies
  • Maintain and track employee database for time check-ins and checkouts and timesheets using various software such as Clockify, MS Excel and other HRM tools
  • Liaising with office staff and deal with employee correspondence, complaints, and queries
  • Maintains manager and employee confidence by keeping the integrity and security of confidential information
  • Communicate with the leadership team to ensure that the office policies & procedures are implemented and followed

Techincal scope of work:

  • Model low and medium voltage electrical distribution facilities in ETAP Electrical software as well as SKM and others
  • Perform short-circuit studies, equipment evaluation, protective device coordination, Arc Flash Hazard Analysis and recommend methods and solutions to reduce incident energy at an electrical point in industrial and commercial facilities
  • Prepare Arc Flash, Coordination, Short Circuit study reports for various small and large projects
  • Read documentations and manuals for various equipment in industrial and commercial facilities
  • Train and mentor new engineers and interns on power system engineering projects
  • Support GeneralPAC content development team in engineering training video development and processing
  • Be a contributing member of a team for some projects while being the lead for other projects

Skills required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills using internet collaboration tools (MS Teams, Skype, TeamViewer, etc.) and over the phone
  • Strong interpersonal and business skills, management, budgeting, and analysis
  • Candidate having excellent communication skills and is comfortable managing multiple tasks
  • Computer literate and able to write technical reports using Office tools
  • Team player and have a problem-solving aptitude
  • Self-motivated individual with highly developed organizational skills
  • Must be able to effectively communicate plans, thoughts, and rationale towards the job
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
  • Good judgment and highly dependable
  • Out of the box, critical thinking is encouraged
